Description

To strengthen our Geospatial Solutions team, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to work in the field of geoinformation with a focus on Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI), custom mapping solutions and Desktop Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Responsibilities

  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
  • Analyze and detail product requirements
  • Define and implement relevant and long term architecture choices
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
  • Understand and solve complex production issues
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for design reviews
  • Work within an agile software engineering environment

Profile required

  • At least 7 years of object-oriented software development experience
  • Professional development experience using Java
  • In depth knowledge of Java EE and related technologies: Spring Framework, JMS, REST
  • Experience of working with Continuous Delivery concepts and tools
  • Excellent understanding of Agile development practices and proven success with applying them
  • Passionate about continuous improvement both at a personal and technical level
  • Desire to participate in open source communities and make a difference
